Speaking of games that can cause seizures... "Rez will open your senses...let's go to synaesthesia." The total integration of visual presentation, sound and player's input provides a rich aesthetic experience that is difficult to describe in words. Rez has been called "the ultimate audiovisual experience" and that "it must be seen and heard to be fully understood."
You really do need to play to understand. The square moving around the screen in front of the avatar is moved by the console controller. You are meant to aim for the incoming objects and destroy them in a way that is rhythmically in time with the beat of the music. Each blast makes its own sound that is in tune with the music as well - so by playing you are helping to create the background track. I absolutely love this one. Originally developed for the Playstation 2 but now it has been re-released for the newer gaming consoles.
