To Match or Not to Match....

I have been sitting on the fence about Apple's new iTunes Match. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, Match is basically cloud storage for your iTunes library. The cool thing about Match is it allows you to play your music on any Mac, iOS device or PC that is tied to your iTunes account. It doesn't store everything on those devices it merely keeps a list of all of your music on those devices and pulls the songs out of the cloud when you want to listen to them. So, this means that you can have access to your entire 160 Petabyte (...cough cough...richard) music library even though you only have 16 Gigabytes of storage on your iPhone. The REALLY cool thing is that it even works with music that wasn't purchased through iTunes. So, if you're like me and have ripped your entire library of vinyl records to mp3s, yes pops and all, they are still available over Match. SWEET!
The reason that I'm still fence sitting is because my main music play back device is still a 160GB iPod classic, and this is one device that will not work with Match, nor does not need to as it already holds my entire music library and then some. And, it's the only device that works with my car's iPod adapter...Is it time for a new car? But, if YOU want all of your music available at your finger tips, it's $24.99 per year.
