This year's Super Bowl was record setting on seveal tech fronts. The big news was that you could now legally watch a live stream of the Super Bowl online. The NFL has been streaming online for a while, but in most cases you had to have a paid subscription to view games. And in no case had they ever streamed the big game before. This year however, you could watch for free (with ads of course) and it is reported they had more than 2 million viewers do so.

The other big news was the "social media" records broken during the Super Bowl this year. For example, during the game, Twitter recorded a new record of 12,233 tweets per SECOND going thru their servers. You and read more here at an article post on the Huffington Post web site.
