I've been reading up on the new iPhone 5s. So far I have been pretty impressed by what's on offer. It has a new 64bit A7 processor, and more importantly, IMHO, it has an improved graphics processing unit (GPU), the M7, that should increase 3D and mapping performance as well as overall performance. It has an improved camera which includes a larger imaging sensor while the overall megapixels stay the same. This means that it has larger photosites and thus better low light performance. It also has a fingerprint reader built into the home button. There is also improvements to the battery. The size increases about 10%. This should correlate in to longer battery life, although your mileage may vary. It's always possible that the new chips may use more energy. Not least of all, there is a new OS running the whole thing, iOS7.
