This week's software pick is an extremely simple-to-use utility that allows some basic configuration which Apple doesn't provide with it's Leopard backup software.  Time Machine makes it dead simple to protect your data, and multiple versions of your data at that, but it can be a bit of a resource hog at times.  TimeMachineEditor lets you change the default hourly backup to something that might provide a bit more breathing room for your older or otherwise very busy Mac:

Tm hourly

I like the Calendar Intervals feature even better:

Tm schedule

By the way, this and this is for those of you who stumbled upon our little corner of the web while looking for something completely different.
