Let me start by saying I am a HUGE Guy Kawasaki fan. He of course was the original Mac Evangelist back in the day and he carries that enthusiasm with him today in all he does as a keynote speaker and author and entrepreneur. He is a fascinating and engaging speaker who tends to cut the the "bs" and tell you straight up how he feels and how he sees the world.
I found out about his latest endeavor thru a interview Guy did with Chase Jarvis. In the hour and a half interview they talked about everything from what it was like working with Steve Jobs to their preferred brand of cameras. ( Guy is a Nikon man btw)
In the discussion about Guy's new book, What the Plus! Guy talks about his decision to self publish an ebook even thought some of his other books have made the New York Times best seller list. He sites as an example that his last book retailed for $26 in hard cover and for each sale he received " a few dollars ". Now with this book in the ibook store at $2.99 and for each sale (after apple takes it's cut) he receives about two dollars. And the process for him from final version to print was 51 weeks shorter in the digital book version.
I have downloaded my copy and will start reading today. Based on my previous experience with his books, it was a no brainer to grab this up.
