A little Offensive Security anyone?

This week the good folks at Offensive Security have released a re-branded version of Backtrack called Kali. Kali is essentially Backtrack v6.0. For those of you who have no idea what this is, it is the pre-eminent suite of tools used for penetration testing rolled into a linux distribution.
This linux distro makes it possible to more easily test the security of a network or a server. It comes with all of the security tools that you would typically need already installed and configured. This way you don't have to deal with all of the hassles of finding, downloading and configuring all of the tools that are needed to test your network for vulnerabilities. You only need to focus on the your penetration testing. This is a huge time saving step.
This new distro is based on Debian linux and focuses on security and ease of use for new users of linux. Although, it still has all the features more advanced users are looking for. It also uses many of the features that make Debian one of the most popular linux distros including the Debian package manager (that's a big deal to us more advanced linux guys).
With this new linux distribution they have also released versions that are prebuilt for VMWare, and for the Raspberry Pi. Pick up a copy here.
